Individulas of dominant Pitta or Kapha Doshas are susceptible to imbalances of their cardiac functions. A Pitta person is naturally ambitious and driven. When exaggerated these qualities cause imbalances, stress symptoms and inflammation. This can affect normal heart function. Kapha people are naturally laid back and are not “high energy” types. When out of balance Kapha types accumulate fat and by-products such as cholesterol which in turn can put extra workload on the heart.
Pitta people should try to reduce stress, lower caffeine intake and try Yoga. Kapha folks should start a regimented exercise program.
Both Pitta and Kapha types should reduce intake of oily, heavy foods, alcohol, when out of balance.
