Individuals of dominant Vata, when under stress are inclined to react by feeling anxious. Pitta individuals are more likely to have changeable moods rather than anxiety. These characteristics are a natural part of their Doshas, they are exaggerated when out of balance. Our body produces chemicals and hormones as reaction to stress. Shankhpushpi has been shown to reduce the effect of the anxiety chemical cycle.
Vata people can help their anxiety by meditating or practicing Yoga. A body/foot massage is helpful as well as a luke warm bath.
Pitta dominant people should keep an eye on Pitta aggravating foods such as oily, fried, spicy foods and alcohol. Search out distracting activities such as hiking, reading.
